Quality Management
HCBS Strategies has staff with firsthand experience with reviewing and interpreting regulations. We regularly monitor all policy changes to help our clients plan for changes they must make to comply with the changing regulatory landscape.
We assist our clients in adapting to the changing landscape in a variety of ways:
We work with states to develop data-driven quality management strategies that are consistent with CMS’ HCBS Quality Framework and the required assurances included in the 1915(c) waiver application.
We can review program operations to identify areas that may be cited in a federal or state programmatic audit.
We work with regulatory compliance on several levels. We can review program operations for compliance with federal requirements, and; assist states in reviewing, analyzing, and developing regulations to meet the needs of HCBS systems.
If a federal or state audit has found a client to be deficient, we can work with the client to develop and implement a corrective action plan. We have staff that have participated in state and federal audits and can provide guidance in negotiations regarding that plan.
